This pattern is used when comparing two or more people, affairs, or things.

N1	跟	N2	(不)一樣	(Vs)
我的手機	跟	你的手機	一樣。
My cell phone is the same as yours.
越南的生肖動物	跟	中國的	不一樣嗎?
Are the Vietnamese zodiac animals different from the Chinese ones?
弟弟	跟	哥哥	一樣	聰明
The younger brother is as clever as his elder brother is.

1. 這種藥跟那種藥一樣嗎?

2.這件事情跟那件事情一樣重要。

3.這棟大樓的電梯跟那棟大樓的(電梯)不一樣大。

1.他打球,跟哥哥打得一樣好。

2. 姐姐做飯,做得跟媽媽一樣好吃。

3.那個美國學生寫字,跟中國人寫得一樣好看。

This pattern is used to indicate “just as soon as…”. If the subjects of these two clauses are the same, then often one subject is omitted.

S	一	V1	S	就	V2
他	一	有問題,		就	問老師。
Whenever he has a question, he asks the teacher.
S1	一	V1	S2	就	V2
你	一	說。	我	就	懂了。
As soon as you said it, I understood it.

1. 我一看書,就想睡覺。

2.媽媽一知道我發燒了,就開始擔心。

3.他今天很奇怪,我一說話,他就不高興。
